so this one is a good example there also is the 806 re-edition 1959 both are good made re-editions, but there also is the aspect of the price in relation to the original vintage one for me the 806 the original vintage one is the better choice for the mone...

... both watches (806 and 765 - the re-editions) are in this categorie, but i personally wouldn't pay the price for the 806 re-edition, when it is possible to buy a vintage one for a bid more - i would buy the original vintage if i would think about buyin...
I see your point, but I think it is more accurate to say that you are referring to perceived value of a tribute relative to its original vintage, and its obtainability relative to the original.
I also offer another perspective. A lot of us own the original vintage, sometimes in mint condition, but due to their "fragility" and/or actual monetary worth, I wear the tributes as a daily wearers.
