The frequency is already the modern " Industry standard" - 32768 Hz.

The original 388 cell is obsolete but it works with a new SR731/V329 battery. But be careful, it has to be installed with the plus pole down, like this: You MUST NOT touch the other parts of the movement other than the screws or the clamp holding down the...

Cool and historically important movement
Hopefully someday, the full story of quartz watches from 1969 to (say) 2019 will be told. Fifty years. To complement Doensen's magisterial work, which covers 1950 to 1983. UG in-house started with the cal. 74 of 1975 and apparently concluded with the cal....
