This is near to be what can be called "friendship" behavior and truth. I guess we are many here to love watchmaking for the art and engineering skills that it is. But it is also about the peolpe and passion. Thanks for the enlighting love letter Thomas :)...

It has been getting a bit too easy for the industry over the past few years. Still, they're not dumb. Let's hope that the good ones are finding a way to profit from the good times while maintaining flexibility for downturns. Remembering the more committed... 

It only takes one 'good alternative', to lure fair weather friends (customers) away. The Apple watch is close to being that 'good alternative'. And there are reports that the Gold edition is flying off the shelves in China. Until it improves on its batter...
