I think Rolex is the first company with 10 yrs. They were early adopters with the current policy and Rolex watches are broadly speaking less complex because they only have so many complications in their lineup.

This is an engineering issue and they seem to have the most muscle in this area. I would also like to add Seiko, but the Japs are quite conservative with their claims. So even if they can do it they most likely won't be the first to announce.
