Mexico City and Johannesburg are definitely places where something like this happens. You're definitely not ignorant. But to see it captured on video, and to know that nobody nearby will help you (because they're wondering what is going on) is the added v... 

It’s well-documented/researched that even were we to conclude people DID know what was happening this could have played a part. Further in credit to those onlookers they also probably were aware that there was a high risk the individual was armed.

I myself have witnessed a strange situation where people whom I knew personally just watched three gypsy women try to rob someone. They just watched and could figure something was very wrong, but just didn't know what to do.

Even just shouting at the perpetrator would be a good start

They just stared not knowing what to do. It was quite awful really. Three gypsies were all over a man (obviously a tourist as he was carrying luggage) trying to figure out where his wallet was. These women were patting his clothes everywhere. A fourth gyp...

Of all the cars, why he chose this Tesla??? Must be targeted or informed. Sad that watches robberies are becoming headline news in many occasions.

Probably saw the watch through the window (crime of the moment) or targeted this person well in advance beforehand.

But at least it wasn't any worse. No injury, not even loss of property.

Since I usually wear a watch and have a cell phone. And apparently I'm a trouble maker in London!

Who is filming this while watching a guy get robbed? Or I assume this is a re-enactment of what happened? These kinds of events captured on video always make me wonder.
