And how big is the movement?
If they used all that extra space to hold a large movement that will perform better than smaller ones, great. If not, it is certainly not necessary to build a watch that big to get that level of water resistance. That being said, at that price point it is not nearly as troublesome to me as the size discrepancy between some Patek movements and cases.
