A small sub-part of my collection : Aviation themed watches.
I have recently developed a certain interest in watches that have a relation with Aviation,be it civil or military.
I guess it must be the purpose build nature of these watches that is fascinating to me together with the heritage connection.

The Moser Heritage "Funky Blue" is a typical pilot's watch design refering to the early 20th century and similar to what many other brands produced in these days (Zenith,PP,....).

Maybe the most famous pilot watch out there is the Breitling Navitimer relating back to the days when flight calculations had to be done without the help of computers.

Hanhart has always been associated with aviation : the ES 415 chrono was very popular amongst German pilots in the 60ies.

IWC is certainly a pioneer related with Aviation : the Mark XX is the most wearable of all their pilot's watches and in direct relationship with the "Type A" WW1 design.

The "Type B" is another famous aviation watch style : mine is from the Laco Flieger Pro series.

Aviation themed watches are always big and chunky ?
Not so this Hamilton Khaki Aviation Pioneer with its 38 mm case !!
Thanks for looking,
Gerard
