A few impressions of the Longines "Tuxedo" chronograph.

I really do like the Heritage series from Longines celebrating some of the truly great designs from their glorious past.
The Tuxedo series is amongst my favorites from this Heritage line,be it the 3 hand model or the chronograph.
The chronograph is based on a model from 1943. Although bigger than the original, all of the dial proportions have been respected.
A very attractive bi-compax dial.
Great attention to detail.
Good legibility.
An interesting (40 mm) case design with alternating polished and brushed surfaces,
Good decision to go for a closed caseback for this kind of watch.
A special mention for the movement : an ETA exclusive development for Longines to allow for correct spacing between the sub-dials with silicon hairspring and spot-on accuracy.
Add to this the fair price point and the 5-year warranty and you can't go wrong!
It is definitely one of these watches that makes me feel that most of my other watches are shamelessly overpriced !!
Thanks for looking,
Gerard
