Out of control!
I liked your post. I thought I was the only guy who felt guilty for not wearing the watches I own. I try to wear to at least occasionally all of mine but it does get to be a bit of a problem. My guess is that I own around 45 watches as follows:
Panerai (6)
Zenith (5)
Bell & Ross (8)
Blanc Pain (2)
Ulysses Nardin (3)
Richard Mille (1)
Audermars Piguet (4)
Dewitt (1)
U-Boat (1)
Rolex (1)
Roger Dubuis (1)
Jaeger LeCoultre (4)
IWC (4)
Cartier (1)
Jerome Romain (1)
Chopard (2)
Of these 7 of them are Tourbillons. The big problem I have is resisting buying new watches. I've got to tell you I just love them. When I see a watch I like I have a hard time resisting it.
When you look at all this, like you purchased the watches to actually wear, you put yourself in a quandry (not much different than feeling you need to watch everything you record on TIVO). You just can't do it. So the other way to look at it is as a collector. That way it seems OK to purchase and own watches you don't wear much.
