Breaking news: LVMH announces merger of Zenith and TAG Heuer!

 By: Ornatus-Mundi : January 16th, 2010-07:56
Dear All: the recent news from Bulgari appear to indicate a trend, as the news I got today regarding LVMH indicate: TAG Heuer, Zenith and Cortech (watch case manufacturer) have merged! In December 2009, the watch making companies TAG Heuer International a...

Wow interesting. Seems like a good fit IMO

I just hope their new watches take more on Tag Heuer styling than Zenith styling. Cheers, Anthony

I love Zenith, the Chronomaster, Grande Class and Elite ofcourse. I DON'T like their sportmodels So I really hope they will focus on dress watches and not those very ugly Defy watches. And concerning TAG, well I don't want to bash TAG but TAG is a differe...

 By: AnthonyTsai : January 16th, 2010-08:28

A tax-related merger

 By: Marv : January 16th, 2010-17:31
This merger was announced more than 3 weeks ago. It seems that this is not really a news for watch passionates, as the main rationale of the new structure is tax optimization. Since then, several top managers at LVMH have been interviewed. Philippe Pascal...

This sounds a relief to me as both brands have

...more difficult financial times. Leveraging the best that each company has to offer for the benefit of the whole, may be the only way for some of these entities to survive. I'm not necessarily speaking of this merger in particular, of course. I just thi...
