Aside from overall resilience to further adjustments made by the user, magnetism, aggresive usage, bumps, et c

COSC, METAS, and "in-house" are all smoke and mirrors.

Here you have my CWC W10 reissue (the Mellor-72) running on the Sellita calibre SW210. It outperforms every other watch in my collection in terms of accuracy. It is the reigning champ. I don't think all a watch is boils down to movement accuracy. You also...

Did you run it against the Omega 9300?

I have three 9300 movements. None of them vary more than 5-10 seconds per month...just curious how the Selita compares.

No, I don't own that calibre

Only ran what I own and my omega has the 1861

Do you feel the Sellita you have on hand is representative of Sellita movements in general?

As much as any of your other movments are representative of their own line?

It's a small sample size

I'm not a watchmaker so I don't have many examples to put to the timegrapher. I only have what I own and this is my one Selitta movement which I compared to movements from my other watches (Lange, Rolex, Omega, Grand Seiko, Nomos, Seiko)

Yea I'm not either

It is just nice to see this humble movement doing well

I agree wholeheartedly

Good feelings indeed. Thanks!

That would make sense!

Since I redid the collection this year I have yet to have a watch needing servicing yet. Do you always send back to manufacturer or do you know a local watchmaker when your watch need servicing?

The only watch I kept this year has been with me for a little over 3 years but is still running great so don’t plan on sending it soon

For me, it depends on the watch

Whether it's in warranty or not or a very high-end watch with an intricate movement. Also, up until now, I have yet to have a watch serviced without it having an issue.

Sorry to ear about service problem! In my case I don’t really have a good watchmaker I could trust so I plan to go with original manufacturer

One of my GO watch is in Germany being serviced ... looking forward to see final product experience

It all depends on the watch itself and what type of complications are involved. I usually send back to the manufacturer but I do know a few "master" watchmakers who I have befriended over the years who have serviced, regulated, etc...for me over the years

Actually had my RD Sympathie bi-retrograde moonphase chronograph serviced and regulated recently by a master watchmaker friend as he did it in 3 weeks instead of 4 months if I sent it back to RD in Switzerland. It also cost considerably less as well but m...

Exactly! The regulation is more important than the movement

Then come environmental conditions that also affect the timekeeping.

Agreed 👍
