Smoked Salmon vs. Salmon: Which one has your vote!

Wearing my Chopard Alpine Eagle XPS with their Monte Rosa Salmon dial: While making the rounds, a local AD had a pre-owner H. Moser & Cie Streamliner with their Smoked Salmon dial: I missed out on the email giving me a two hour window of opportunity to re...

If we are voting for the actual watches...

I am going for the Chopard but either dial is beautiful in their own right

Salmon

I’m partial to the moser dial

But the Chopard integrated bracelet is much better. Have you looked at the AP code 59. They have a great dial.

XPS on all counts!

But the Moser is different in terms of the dial and overall design, and beautiful in its own right. I believe you were right in not securing this given your initial in-person first impressions of the piece.

I think the dial on the Moser accentuates the oddly shaped case contrasting with the round crystal and dial/markers

and the crown sticks out a bit like a sore thumb. Thus my preference is the Chopard which seems much more integrated to me... (but your geometry may vary) Cazalea

Yes exactly

Salmon for the dial! And both for the watches. I like what Chopard and Moser do. They make great watches.

Regarding the AE, I really love the Eagle eye dial. Even more the Salmon one 👌. But to be honest there is something that always disturbed me... the center line of the bracelet! I understand it is part of the AE design but not my taste.

I totally understand and respect where you are coming from!

The AE bracelet always reminds me of the 1st generation Overseas. Merci, mon ami!🥂

You are right. Similar to the 1st generation Overseas.

The actual Overseas bracelet is phenomenal. One of the best in the business! Have a good week ahead mon ami 😉

Yep! I confirm.

Poor Mach

Poetry comes with words. Poor more accented to H Moser, because your Chopard is a real b. Do not put other watches next to your eagle, it decreases anything on it’s path. Chopard is real mean. Look at the LUC lines, and before you know, you collected six ...

😂🤣😂 It’s funny you mention this, Sven . . .

I’m still seriously considering the addition of the L.U.C 1860 to my collection: I will probably decide after W&W ‘24. And you’re most likely correct that there were be other Chopard’s in my future collection!😆 Cheers, my friend!🥂 ...

Thanks, Dmitriy!🥂

Seems like I’m in the minority here but I like the Moser better. Nicer dial, better finished bracelet and more unique design. Movement-wise, Chopard clearly has the upper hand with finer finishing

and the Geneva Seal. I find the movement in the Streamliner a little underwhelming and much prefer the newer movement in the small seconds.

No worries, Chet! We appreciate and respect everyone’s thoughts and opinions!

I’m looking forward to hopefully seeing Moser’s Streamliner with the small seconds in the future! Have a great weekend, my friend!🥂

And you!
