New Equipment 007 ...

As we know, Bond has been issued with several brands of watch during his duties for Queen and country. So far the line up has included, Rolex Submariner. Gruen Precision 510. Dr. No (Art) Hamilton Pulsar P2/2900 "Astronaut" Live and Let Die. ... Breitling...

Hello dear Captain! I wish Bond would return to the Rolex Submariner. May be the present version no date and ceramic bezel black dial. Regret to say I don´t think...

 By: Subexplorer : March 8th, 2019-05:03
... this will happen as the present Franchise has its strong commercial ties with Omega. May be the recently launched version ot the Seamaster Diver 300 will be the one we will see on his wrist in the next film? Cheers! Abel ...

It doesn’t exist yet..

I would like to see JB wear a watch (preferably Omega) that addresses the current “smart” issue(s). I’m not sure I would buy a mechanical watch with an electronic brain in it but I do think it’s incumbent upon manufacturers to address the problem perhaps ...

Though I´m not fond of smart watches, I feel Bond will be issued some kind of smart watch sooner or later. May be an Omega standard model...

... with some "treatment" from the FX film department would fill the bill as they have done with some of Bond´s watches, like the Rolex with a rotary buzz saw, and Omegas with explosive fuse, etc.

It certainly looks good [nt]

Yes, I like the grey dial so much. I own also the original model with quartz movement, the first Bond Omega. A great watch...

 By: Subexplorer : March 8th, 2019-12:07
... which I bought in year 2000 and took to scuba diving many times.

Great memories [nt]

 By: Cpt Scarlet : March 8th, 2019-12:09

Yes indeed!! [nt]

Hello Abel...

 By: Cpt Scarlet : March 8th, 2019-05:07
A special Rolex Submariner without date and with a big crown... Yes please Rolex !

A modern Rolex Submariner with no crown guards and big crown would be a dream come true indeed dear Captain. But I really doubt Rolex ...

 By: Subexplorer : March 8th, 2019-06:06
... would offer this dream watch some day. So I went for a more "at hand" model to choose for our beloved 007 Agent!

Ahh! Ok Captain!! Do you have the due contacts at "Q" Division to get one for me? ;)

Having viewed my first Bond film in around 1964 and all of the following films (several times) afterwards are my best credentials! Lol! Cheers! Abel PS: I also own a Walther PPK and a scale miniature of the AM DB5!

I agree 100%, but I’m not sure Her Majesty’s Secret Service could afford a steel Rolex

They are government funded, you know, and have a budget....... 😀 NickO

Lol! [nt]

Not to forget Rolex Pre Daytona Ref. 6238

 By: Saxon : March 8th, 2019-05:30
worn by George Lazenby in "On Her Majesty's Service"

Good point..

 By: Cpt Scarlet : March 8th, 2019-06:08
Lazenby has remained a good looking guy even in later life.

Indeed

 By: descartes1 : March 8th, 2019-18:27
I my humble opinion the 6238 is the coolest bond watch of all, and really suits the Bond character and persona. ...

For his tuxedo monents a simple Patek in YG

By: COUNT DE MONET : March 8th, 2019-05:38
As a daily wearer an AP Royal Oak would suit him well.

But they are....

 By: FlyingSnoopy : March 8th, 2019-08:20
quite fragile..... Cheers

I’ve jumped ...

 By: Cpt Scarlet : March 8th, 2019-10:10
Out of an aeroplane and dived with my Nautilus. It’s still going strong.

I’d like to see a large Reverso with black dial and luminous hands on one side...

 By: kev09 : March 8th, 2019-05:51
...and on the reverse a smart touch screen so he can report face to face with M. It should be water (and martini) proof to at least 100m and shockproof particularly in the bedroom. Shouldn’t be beyond the capabilities of JLC and Q Branch. Regards Kev.

Goldfinger ??? [nt]

 By: Cpt Scarlet : March 8th, 2019-14:27
What a terrible world we live in today

Ahh yes, absolutely true my friend. That is terrible agree. But my City has become specially dangerous to wear a good watch specially for Rolex.

 By: Subexplorer : March 9th, 2019-06:54
you need to be very cauteous and cover it with your sleeve. Or not use them at all in certain places. Hagwe! Abel

Yes yes. It saddens me as well my friend! Not long ago...

 By: Subexplorer : March 9th, 2019-13:32
... my city eas among the safest big cities. Not longer so! That’s very regrettable indeed!

That’s a good idea as it’s a little known fact..

 By: Cpt Scarlet : March 8th, 2019-11:16
That olives are more dangerous than magnetic fields for mechanical wrist watches.

Haha ...

 By: Cpt Scarlet : March 8th, 2019-11:32
That’s why I’m using this one when ordering a vodka martini ...
