Moser ~ Mayu or Monard

I have been looking at both the Mayu and Monard, particularly the Platinum or Palladium cases that feature the Ardoise and Fume dials.  Personally, I prefer the Monard's clean dial and applied markers as well as its 7-day movement.  The negative, however, is the larger case size.  While the lugs don't extend past my wrist, the watch wears big, more similar to a 42mm Blancpain or Dornblueth on my 6.9" wrist.  The Mayu, on the other hand, wears nicer, more like a traditional dress watch.  So the issue is design/style or case size.  Have you ever go beyond your comfort zone and how did that work out?  I also have to wonder how these bigger dress watches in general are suppose to wear (Blancpain's new Villerets, Langes, etc) and what wrist size they cater to.  Have your thoughts regarding the traditional understated dress watch changed over the years?

I would also appreciate any thoughts on why you might prefer either the Mayu or Monard.  Similarly, do you have any experience regarding legibility of Fume/Ardoise dials or the duraility/refinishing aspects of Palladium cases?
