Horological Meandering

A question for the vintage experts🙏

Some time back I bought this old Lemania chronograph which arrived with this really cool little triangle shape half way up the chronograph seconds hand. I have never seen this on another Lemania - nor on any other watch for that matter - and was curious if someone else knows anything about it. I just love the look and find the positioning of it unexpected and really charming.

There were so many made, mon ami. Never seen this special detail, but it doesn't mean it is not correct.

I think it may be a later addition, as it seems too short.

I have often seen half-way arrows on the minutes counter hand of the sub-dial of a chronograph. I have never seen a minutes counter with a centre sweep hand, let alone with an arrow!

Running seconds is at the 9 o'clock sub, chronograph seconds is on the cannon pinion, elapsed minutes is in the 3 o'clock subdial
