You are right, gold chatons
are a feature only in more expensive watches with Cal 100. I am not sure where the line is but I know my Senator Navigator no date does not have them and the Senator Perpetuals do.
As for the zero-reset, I set the minute hand exactly first, not worrying about the second hand, and then I use the button to sync the second hand to exactly zero.
