Let me say that I find the thing a little bizarre: as a solution it would have been more elegant the use a single bridge for the balance wheel and avoid a second bridge and swan neck that have no functionality. The chronometer's movement is splendid even ... 

It lead to this compromise whereby GO had to come up with a solution to retain its visual identity. When Lange switched to using a free-sprung balance (new models started with the RL around 2006) they retained the functionality of the swan-neck fine adjus... 

Given that the Cosmopolite is the only model in the Senator collection to mount the double swan neck, it wouldn't have particularly affected the identity of the collection. Of course this "base caliber" is used in the Pano collection, like the PanomaticLu... 

I tend to forget distinctions between a brand’s collections. Cheers, Brandon
