As I searched as many photos as I could find, I realized you were posting a watch you wore only at that magical moment. Sigh..... well, there are a lot of amazing pics out there on this site and other sites. the more I look at this watch, the more drawn I am to it. Something about the Old chronometer layout combined with the big date at 3. The hands.... I just read a post where Edwin H.H. said he did not like them... I can't stop delighting in them!!! They are simply gorgeous and hypnotic. the combination of hands, dial, and date... are really extremely well put together, and each element raises the bar a little, does something new here within the old chronometer layout... it's very magnetic. But maybe if that was all this watch had, I might still be able to 'dismiss' it as 'just another great and nice watch.' BUT THEN, the movement! It closes the deal. I'm increasingly blown away by the pictures of this watch. I could see wearing this watch on a daily basis, and really enjoying its versatility. The big date gives it a down to earth usefulness. The 42mm makes it a casual, masculine watch, despite its dressy aspects. yet, it is a truly fine amazingly luxurious and Ultimate kind of watch, all at the same time. It is a watch one can wear in a group of people who know nothing about watches, and not set off any 'fancy watch' alarms. I like to wear watches that no one notices, except perhaps that the watch looks very nice. I like my watch to be my own intoxicating secret. This watch has a casualness that makes it possible to be worn almost in any situation, but it has such Fineness, classicism, modernness, innovation, craft. Dare I say heart and soul? It could be 'invisible' at a Thanksgiving dinner, or it could be shared at a WIS get together with utmost pride and joy. I like a watch that can do all that. How many hours til my AD opens?????
