Nicolas
Welcome to our little secret....Glashutte Original.
As Art knows, my head is very much in the same place as yours:
Summer 2007: Traded in my Ebel for SS G.O. SE Chrono with metal bracelet
Summer 2007: Traded in my Omega for a G.O. Senator Automatic
Fall 2007: Traded in my G.O. Senator Automatic for an 18K Senator Karree Manual Wind (Cal 22) Panorama Date
November 2007: Traded in my SS G.O. SE Chrono for the Senator Navigator
The ONLY difference between me and you is that you went for the Navigator without the date and the more traditional dial, and I went for the Navigator with the date function (purely a matter of personal taste, mind you). And I totally agree with how you had not quite "gotten there" on the IWC models. The Navigator just hit that spot perfectly in a way that IWC couldn't (and to be honest, it is really playing in a completely different league, movement-wise).
And, now I'm back in the market (as Art knows) for a SS watch w/metal bracelet. I can repurchase the G.O. that I traded-in (my AD still holds it....if you are interested in picking up a mint-condition version of such at a very good price, IM me and I'll set you up on that.....I'm not kidding). But I figure I now have two great G.O. watches on my wrist these days so I'm going to take my time here.
Best wishes
David
