On the JLC based movement Offshores (caliber 2326), I pull the crown at 0 seconds and set the minute hand pretty much exactly between 2 minute markers. I then make sure to reverse the crown and so the pressure is not forward. There is a window of play the...  

As I have posted before, I am always drawn to a watch's case. With a diameter of 42mm and a thickness of just over 12mm, the Senator Chronometer has generous proportions, and probably what I consider a perfect size on my wrist. I opted for the white gold ...  

As I arrive at the final part of the review, I am reminded of my only possible criticism of the watch. The Senator Chronometer is tightly fitted to a beautiful Louisiana alligator strap. So far so good... until I first tried the piece on and found my 6.75...

I guess Glashutte hooked me either way. Perhaps it is another topic for another thread, but maybe a dateless SC will appear in the future? That could be a unique twist on a "Limited Edition".

Funny as I could have written the 1st sentences. I also particularly like Marine chronometers, for the accuracy goals and the type of design. And concerning GO, this is my favorite timepiece, and I think my favorite Marine chronometer above the UN or the ... 

I honestly had intentions of this review for over a year, but never found the window of time I needed to complete it. I write best when I go straight through and keep my thoughts organized, so I had to do it all at once.

I have enjoyed this watch as well since Dec 2009. It remains one of my favorites. My only gripe is that my wrist is really too small to absorb the 42mm case. Much better for me would be 38mm. Thanks for your great review. Marc

I am lucky with my wrist, as even though it is small it has a very wide and flat section on top, so larger cases sit fine. Glad you continue to enjoy your piece

... thank you, Michael! This particular model has been wandering in my head since its debut a few years ago. At one time, I even placed an order - but canceled due to totally irrelevant financial reason. I am still on the fence - the size! I totally agree... 

I really feel it wears a little smaller if anything. That surprises me to say because the modest size to the bezel allows for a large diameter dial, which usually makes a piece look bigger.

And welcome to the SC Club ;-) I find on some watches when you are on the tightest hole the clasp uncomfortably rides up one side of the wrist. Maybe see if the dealer can help you with a short strap? I look forward to some pictures of the rose gold versi...

First, I have to admit a total bias in favor of this watch. I loved it upon release and it remains, in my mind, one of the best offerings from GO. It's just a classy timepiece. It showcases elements that I personally look for in a watch that should stand ... 

I do think it will age nicely and always appeal to me. It really is a successful design on so many levels. Cheers to you chica ;-)

A great review of a fantastic watch! Love the setting mechanism of this watch; zero-reset, minute notching. A great way to get the time set correctly. Really wanted to know more about the clasp and the overall comfort of this watch, along with how the sti... 

On my wrist I credit that in part to the "short" strap. When I first wore it, being on the tightest hole made the clasp ride up to the side of the wrist. Now it is on the third hole or so and the clasp centers better. The strap is reinforced where it atta...

And in my opinion can be suited for many different collectors. I myself remain drawn to sports watches, yet this GO appeals to me as much as anything else I have owned.

I have to profess my "anal" nature with the hour and second sync when setting time. I often find myself adjusting and readjusting my various pieces during the day (once its been sitting for a while and I wear it for the first time) to set the hour and sec...

I need to get a better camera and rig a light box to really capture this watch. I snapped all new photos for the review as I was writing it, utilizing various parts of the office!

Great review, thank you. It's informative, sincere and accompanied with great pictures. This watch is on my list if financials allow a real expansion of my collection in future. Mfor all the reasons you mention, this is an incredible timepiece.

To be honest when you have had something for a awhile as opposed to a short time. The Senator Chronometer has not disappointed in any way for me.

I always loved this watch too. Chronometers with white dials, roman numerals etc. have such classic elegant styling that can always be admired. Thank you for sharing and wish you lots of joy in wearing it!

The precise minute hand advancement throughout each minute is a great feature whcih only us watch geeks can appreciate IMO :) And regarding the long length of the standard strap, I've noticed in the past on the new GO watches that I try on at Tourbillon, ... 

So I can't say if that is something that applies to most of the range, but it sounds like it does. Thanks for reading the review.
