I prefer the old version
Thanks for the photos, Stere. I really like the polished rings around the time sub-dials on the original. The markings for the 30-minute counter are a bit more elegant on the new version though. Contrary to Nicolas's view, I believe the new dial is less balanced--the 30-minute totalizer and the date window are too close to the time indication, leaving too much negative space between them and the right side of the case and skewing everything to the left. Overall, I prefer the old one. Which is a good thing, since I am in the process of purchasing one (although I consider myself open-minded enough not to be biased).

I'm still not sure whether I prefer the old-style Pano's with the thicker bezel ring - it looks a bit more rugged and purposeful. Since I'm in the market for one, I need to make my mind up pretty quick if I'm going to get an outgoing model!

I probably posted something similar before. If so, bear with me. I am unsure of which version I prefer - this is both good and bad news. In a positive light, as a current owner, this means that I would be a potential customer if I did not own the old vers...
