I am glad that Dr. No did not ask for our Glashütte Original watches, but for our Glashütte Originals ;-)
So I get the chance to show you this Glashütte original from the 60s. It is an elektrochron 410 that is powered by battery, but uses a classic balance for timing. The balance is driven by an electromagnet and in turn controls the electromagnet by touching a very light kind of microswitch. It is quite precise (< 0.5 s/day). The downside is, that it is loud as hell. So I had to stuff some sound proofing material behind the dial ;-) Before I got my hands on it, it did its job in an railway depot.
