Glashütte Original

I've seen the PanoInverse XL in the metal twice . . .

. . . back in May when I visited Glashütte, and again a few weeks ago at a local dealership. It's a departure for G O in aesthetic terms . . . previously, form followed function, but with the PI, form drives function. There is no technical reason that I know of for inverting the movement . . . it is done solely for visual effect. Admittedly, it's a powerful effect, and if you find yourself responding positively to it's appearance, then you'll probably be comfortable with it over the long term. It will certainly draw attention to itself, which is not the case for most G O watches, and probably why it elicits such evocative responses from the fans. Have you been able to try one on yet?
