I fully agree in that simplicity is a dominant feature of the watch. Yet the open back design just gives you a hint of how complex this thing is.
I lusted after a perpetual for a long time simply in that in many ways its one of the ultimate complications out there ...perhaps short of the equation of time and a few others.
However most of these are dials and cumbersome to read and GO distills it to few relevant points of information and makes it legible.
As I get older simplicity of designs seems to drive my interests more so than the multiplicity of dials. When I got into watches about 20yr ago I sought out chronographs with multiple buttons and dials and now I essentially completing the circle I am back to wearing my Sea Dweller Rolex(first significant watch I could afford), the GO and the new Ball Aviator GMT( terrific Lume)
My Daytona, BP flyback LE chonograph and others all sit on winders for the most part.
Along the same lines one day I may spring for DeBethune or Dewitt.
Isn't great how this nearly dead industry is so vibrant now
Sorry...for the lengthy post
