Thank you so very much for the wonderful images... it's really such photo's that started the ball rolling. I have a small selection of watches I move between... A Rolex Date circa 1990, a Patek rose gold 5070, panerai Luminor, a IWC portoguese Chrono and an Ingeniuer ss (my most used). The Pano is the best looking watch I've seen since I made my first choices... a tad small perhaps... but the steel strap makes the watch seem so more 'complete'. I find that leather straps get used for more traditional situations... weddings, dressy occasions etc.. I'll never more be happy with one all rounder, but the healthy desire to find something that approaches that status, yet is less 'declared' than the Iwc Ingenieur,is intoxicating.
I still wonder if this can be worn and used for the everyday, not too thrilling existence and what would niggle... things I have found out using what I have... Patek- a visibility above my pay grade (time to understand time too lux), Pan- to thick, Porto- too noisey, Rolex- too small, thanks to everything I have owned since having this on my wrist 20 years!
Again, thank you for your response,
and any more are welcome as it seems that I will be a Glashutte owner in the not too distant future,
