Hay--as I write this I am wearing  your watch with a bit of a better dial--For goodness sake do not touch this watch if you buy it for the purpose of passing it down  to your son !!!!!!!!!!Glashutte AGE PATINA is priceless!!!!!!!!!
this watch will be $2,000 ++++ when your son gets it AS IS--- you mess with the dial , and redo the dial and re plate the case..you might as well throw away--will be worth zero---anu redos today are worthless to the experts who do pay top dollars...I love your watch and mine..and a german business man thought I payed many thousands for it as in his mind Glashutte is Patek as same!!! Good luck and teach your son the glory oif saving original age patina dials ,,,he will be rich!!!

Hello. I am new to this forum. I am in the beginning stages of collecting watches. I have purchased a couple, Breitlings etc. I am looking at vintage watches and came across a Glashutte. I was taken by its beauty and wanted to learn more about the company...  

To be honest, I would not invest too much into a restoration ...
