Caliber 100 accuracy
I have had my watch for a couple of days now, a Senator Perpetual, and in the last 24hrs it has gained 15 seconds (5 seconds overnight in upright position in case, and 10 seconds on wrist).
When I asked the question about accuracy with GO, this is the response I got direct from them:
“Automatic watches are tested in five positions and the permissible range for the average daily inaccuracy of automatic watches is between -5 and +10 seconds per day at a temperature of 20-25 degrees.
Manual winding watches are tested according the Chronometer ISO standard. In case of automatic watches, it doesn’t make sense because they are permanently and differently actuated. The Chronometer ISO standard is more intended for non-moving watches like our manual winding time pieces.”
I’m going to give it a while for the movement to settle down, before I get an average for my watch. As comparison to Swiss Chronometers, I own an Omega Planet Ocean with Co-axial movement, which was 7 seconds per day fast, sent it back for regulating under warranty and is now +1/2 seconds per day. Also have a Rolex which is +2/3secs per day.
Did your watch take time to settle down from new? If so, how long and what was the rate variance?
