Girard Perregaux

Working class hero

Me too.
I am from a coalminers family.
Grandfather worked in the coal mine, my father worked as coal miner. Mothers in factories as labour.

No penny, and after work drinking beer to drunk in bars.
Children hungry because father spend money in the bar.
(not my father).

Coal mines closed decades ago, no jobs anymore.
New factories and new economic solutions brought wealth.
Mothers got more rights, so they punished the drunk husbands, and the alcohol problem went away.
Better health, better working labour.
The working class started to go also on holidays, just like the rich people.
Than the fathers see on the holiday scene, shops with watches, buy a watch, and when times flies the better economic situations bid the opportunity to get a first real Rolex.
The wife changes her cheap necklace for a wealthy Cartier wrist strap.
