...but my gunpowder is limited, so -and grateful to the advice about the new GP I had under surveillance, then I thought it was another fake, but another mate confirmed it seems to be a real GP 9628 ellipse- and after a bit of investigation, that money, besides the passion you very accurately mention, places me in the position to restart my little GPfever (well, not only GP, to be sincere. I own a little collection, but very few are real interesting pieces).
As many of us, I supose, I started with a fashion watch years ago. Later another. And another. Then... yeah! a brand new good watch (a Longines masive gold case, nice clean white dial, black leather strap but...quartz), after that top of the tops: a Breitling Navitimer made in titanium with details in gold in the armis (the metal strap I mean), but... quartz. At this time arrived to me an old Titus cronograph that belonged to my granfather. Marvellous. Then I started to have interest for vintages and to learn a bit about mechanics of a watch: what's that thing called an anchor, a bridge a tourbillon... I bought my favourite until this moment, a Valjoux 7751 movement and many other things came to me from the family, auctions, flea markets, etc: -Cyma, Helvetia, a pocket clock Universal Geneve, Omega, Ingersoll, Hamilton, Zenith, others I forget now, lots of rubbish...).
And here I am, with the help of Tony, my great watch repairer and people like you that helps the newcomers who try to learn to poke his nose in the high level of the game, but not from the basis of a Black AMEX. That would be very easy. Even I've deducted in a forum that would be very likely to fall in the cathegory of the WIS if one of that. Seems more tasty trying to do it with less money and more spirit. At least I'll try it.
Thanks, Blomman.
