This is a Cal. GP03
... a manual wind, 13 Ligne (about 29mm) movement beating at a leisurely 18000vph and with a power reserve of 41 hours. It was made until the mid 1940's but still being cased up into watches in the late 40's.
It is difficult to give you information on the exact age of your watch as, unlike companies such as Omega and Rolex, GP were not using a sequential numbering system at that time.
Do you know how long your father has had this watch and any more of its history? I wonder if the dial has been repainted at some point as some of the fonts don't look quite right.
Not all watchmakers scratch or write the service dates into the case back, but if you plan to use the watch regularly it would be wise to have it serviced and lubricated.

Andrew

Hi Jovan, Very nice to have a watch of your fathers. I agree that it looks late 1950's. What diameter is the case (excluding the crown)? Are you able to remove the case back and post a photo of the movement and tell us any markings/numbers? I assume the m...
