Girard Perregaux

I wasn't asking for a dress watch

I would not expect a modern SeaHawk to be dressy! I was only referring to the disconnect in terms of DNA--for instance, the hands could still be part of the design, possibly the SeaHawk font (like the way IWC does w/ Ingenieur)... perhaps other elements... I was only chuckling at the 'how do get here from THERE!?'

But I bet these watches are beautiful in their weird, weird GP sport-watchy way. I have wanted a SeaHawk off and on, BECAUSE they are so odd and unusual. They do exude strength, utility, and the watches are , as with all GP's, fantastically executed.

Shrug. Add a dash of Rolex... whisk in some AP...  I always wish for really strong DNA and maybe more 'confidence' in a brand's own heritage... but I'm a romantic! Patek has done this exceptionally well with Nautilus, AP obviously, Rolex eternally, Blancpain very well, Panerai of course, even Vacheron OS oozes VC DNA, Zenith too!

I think this redesign will boost popularity.  Maybe it is new-er DNA. Thanks Andrew.
