I too would have preferred less writing
on the dial. The angle of the picture for the silver dial maybe misleading. 
But it this is still the one I would recommend for those that want just one laureato.
And I love the date window and wheel. The font is especially attractive with open 9s and 6s.
Of course, for those that don’t care about rarity or provenance, then the “basic” production can be had any day of the week. Of which, the 38 mm is the preferred size IMHO.
I pretty much have the laureato in all sizes and the 41 mm anniversary laureato is the one to get as a “one and done”laureato. When it comes to getting a second laureato, choices abound.

Agree when it comes to the “basic” laureato
The 38 mm is a better size than the 42 mm from a preservation of proportions. For folks that can not decide between the 38 mm and the 42 mm … the 41 mm which is a LE, rare, and holds significant importance … IMHO. : )

For the “serious” collectors of certain brands they collect, they will place provenance/importance high on the decision criteria list. As they would rarity as well. For the “casual” collector, they may not care. If it involves future resale value … then a...
Too much dial text on these models.
And I have no idea what is going on with the date window - looks like the font size or at least the location of the printing on the date disc needs to be adjusted, or the window reduced. I would personally choose a non-limited model that I liked more.
