Friends, a couple of fresh shots of the GP Richeville 8445 from around 1965. This is my "flat-dial" version with Chronometer spec. This will hopefully help to get over the dull winter days. CC...  

those are actually not that hard to find. You only need to be faster than Blomman, which is difficult enough

Nice, vintage piece. After spending time at GP's manufacture, I have a lot of respect for the artistry and craftsmanship that goes into their work. I'd love to see inside of your GP. If they ever crack the case open, be sure to take pics!

thanks for the kind words. Will take some movement shots when I get a chance. This one actually has no Tritium / no lume. The Richevilles, as far as I know where all without lume. CC

But the "T" to the right of "SWISS" indicates that it should have. On the other hand - a watch with no lume in the hands, why would you have it on the dial? Another mystery to solve...! Best Blomman

quite often there are no lume dials marked SWISS T or even T SWISS T, indeed a mystery.

So you had the chance to visit the manufacture? Then you were in for a treat! Best Blomman

Hi CC. I purchased one of these in Singapore in 1967 whilst in the RAF. it's had a hard life, having smashed the glass and bent the sweep hand working in a Vulcan bomb bay. However have just sent it back to the GP Clinic and now back on my wrist, keeping ...

Thanks for the welcome CC. I guess that I can't class myself as 'passionate' about GP's but thought the forum might appreciate a 'life story' of one watch. it will probably be passed on at my sons 50th in 2022 and then hopefully to one of his 2yr old twin...
