Girard Perregaux

I think there´s plenty...

G'day,

congrats! A very nice watch; manufacture-made movements AND cases rarely come by, even less so within one watch and for that money! I think the Sea Hawk 1.000m is tremendous value, so one really can´t do wrong.

As per the movement, the GP 33R0 is the GP3300 base with GP´s in-house power reserve module.
This configuration is already well-tested from the "To John Harrison" models of the Sea Hawk II line and frankly, i´ve yet to hear complaints.
In this cases and under specific environment, like with any ultra-thin movement the GP3XXX used to be apt to magnetism at some point. But that´s unlikely with a substantial case like the Sea Hawk 1.000m brings. Otherwise they are pretty known to be reliable and accurate timekeepers, which equals my the experience with a couple of watches sporting movements of the caliber 3000 family of various age since 1994.

For some details on the base movement, you may find this helpful:

Otherwise, i´d suggest to look for older posts referring to the Sea Hawk II and in particular, the Sea Hawk II "To John Harrison".
As it seems, the experience of others is quite encouraging.

Enjoy your watch!

Cheers,

Peter
