with an extraordinary good fit to your wrist - it´s almost wrapping around it! Thanks for this review of a classic watch. I also like this plain design, the big moon phase and big date. From my aesthetic point of view, I would prefer the panorama date win...

for sharing a really superb watch. Especially in a time when many makers are trying to rediscover timeless values, GP seems to continually come back to those ideas as their touchstone. Please keep that watch out of the safe, it deserves it.

I always think of GP as a classic brand with a strong heritage in movements, and was a bit confused when it shifted a lot of the focus towards big sporty watches. I am glad that it has re-oriented its goal towards what it does best now.

This particular one is not from a set. To the best of my knowledge, I think the sets of two watches are made of stainless steel only. One is in the Classique Elegance case, another in the Vintage case. Same movements. Hope all is well with you? Jon

Nothing wrong with PP and Rolex. Great companies and I love both of them very much. To me, it's the variety that makes life interesting.

I do like this design. It's an intriguing combo of a romantic complication (moonphase) and a practical one (big date). The watch is dressy, but not in a traditional fashion. I think GP almost always presents great, practical, attractive watches, and your ... 

You succinctly summed up the spirit of the piece elegantly. I hope that we are seeing a resurgence of sorts for GP.
