This neo bridge version above ...

is probably a bit more visually interesting, because of the additional bridge at the center and two barrels at the top. Although, legibility could be an issue, which is common for most open-dial watches.

The free bridge version (meteorite or not) is less intricate than the neo-bridge, but the legibility is great, thanks to the lumed hands and less cluttered background. The pink rubies on the black surface add some visual interest. The oscillator on the free bridge seems to have a different type of design and somehow gives the impression of a tourbillon, even though it is not. Overall, the free bridge is a great package I think ...

I found the movement side very plain — but, the two key elements (balance wheel and mainspring) are on the dial side, so it is primarily a dial-side watch.

2024 Novelty: Girard Perregaux Free Bridge Meteorite.

Here we have a cool iteration of the Neo Bridge, called Free Bridge. With a totally different design. The case is in steel, 44 mm big, 12, 20 mm high. But the true novelty rests upon the dial. There are two meteorite plates, one on each side of the watch,...

This may just be....

I wonder what the little parts of a meteorite are for.

Very few influence on the design. Worth nearly nothing.

Cool design. I love the new design of GP...but always disappointed when i see the size.

Alas, i will just admire them...and wait for they to release a re-issue of Gyrodate watch

Ah yes, the Gyrodate!!!

Interesting!

Based on the pics, the meteorite seems to be adding to the visual interest of the dial, because on the regular version, those parts are plain black. I hope the meteorite pieces are not too shiny. I like this line of watches, even though the price is steep...

Hm, not sure

Well I see the new of the new

and in general I like it more. But these meteorite parts are boring.

A cool watch.

I tried already the standard version : it is however too big for my wrist. Especially as it is all dial with almost no bezel and this making it look even bigger. Too bad, I really like the design and execution.

How big is your wrist?

 By: amanico : April 16th, 2024-16:58

I have a 17 cm wrist.

 By: jlux : April 16th, 2024-17:03
Other 44mm waches (divers) work on my wrist. I guess it is more the huge dial opening that makes this watch to look so big. I feel that I am missing a bit of weight (30-40 kg) to be able to wear such a watch with good proportions and style .

Thanks for sharing but it’s not for me

More material changes from GP. Meteorite is quite last season for me. I would like to see more innovation and bolder steps from a Horology and case design POV. Something compelling and distinctive. White gold skeleton laureato just announced. Again, mater...

Not for me either

It is a cool watch, no doubts, but I, personally, would want it to be a bit more stylish and smaller in size.

I would say even smaller

 By: SingaporeMarc : April 18th, 2024-03:03
I’m leaning toward 38-40 mm as the bezel is so thin, this watch wears much bigger then it’s size. We also know the trending toward smaller watches across the board. ☀️
