And wears well too. Gets a lot of questions from fellow watch nerds. Oh, didn’t know GP made them. All about the research. GP has gems … not well documented. Not crazy expensive yet.

Nice watch and size

Fits your wrist well

Thank you Aquaracer

I have a 18.5 cm wrist so goes to show this cushion 38 mm from GP is a gem. Many people are only discovering them now … 2598 2498 2499 9012 These are the 4 reference numbers for the cushion shaped dials from GP in the lasts 1990s-2005. Neo vintage.

Thanks Sludgeriff ☀️

The guiloche dial is more subtle. Web pattern. The silver version is good too. Silver - 185 made Black - 122 made So not many out there.

I love the dial legibility

I was just thinking the same thing.

Agree, the olive strap is a bit retro, a bit macho, a bit classy. 😀

The olive strap is just perfect!

Love it too but

I changed it to the steel bracelet for this week. The olive strap went to the 2598 black “military” dial ...

Cool combo.

When I’m doing, always get the bracelet as they may not be around forever. Straps will come and go. : )

Thanks Yacomino

Adds a lot of heft. In a good way. It also transforms the watch presence to feel more like a sports/tool watch.

Thank you Geross

Cushion cases are super. Not round. Not square. Long lugs. GP has not made any since these. 20 years.

You’re welcome !

 By: borisundercover : February 16th, 2023-22:29
It’s a pity, pretty sure it would be a hit if GP reintroduced these now imo.

True true … agree. Then all the old

Cushion case prices will disappear as the main stream catches on. Who know … maybe GP will indeed come out with a cushion case again soon 😉

Oh great. Please share a pic of your

Mine is a 2598 black dial with a long hand showing the minutes of the chornograph over the railway of the dial.

Unfortunately I don't have a good enough picture but it is identical to this one: Credit Chrono24 You can see that the long hand with red arrow is the chronograph minute counter, the long seconds' hand is the chronograph seconds counter while at 9 it is a...

Ah, I see. This is a different model.

Those are the most neo vintage GPs. The case was full so … 🤷🏻‍♂️ Got another case. I like the 38 copper but I’m focusing on the non-production watches for now. I have some but rather search for the very rare ones while they are still floating around at de...

Finished and refined by GP of course. Best of both worlds… reliable and easy to service. And not just “plonked” in the case. GP refinished it all and also refines.

Love it, I have the vintage 1970

“Military” black dial. Fun fact: Some have 1960 on the back and others have 1970. (I have the 1970 … as it’s the year I was born) When first launched GP had 1960 engraved on the back … apparently a homage to some models from GP in 1960. Subsequently, GP f...
