(new model) A second look at the JeanRichard "2Timezones"

Dear enthusiasts,

please feel kindly invited to share another look at the new "2Timezones" GMT model by JeanRichard.
The watch was already introduced in an earlier thread; please click here to get magically transported there.

The new "2Timezones" is proposed in two dial variants; a shiny black and a brushed silvered version are available choices.
While the difference is seemingly small, the effect couldn´t be larger; let´s have a look:

The "2Timezones" features a new propietory development by JeanRichard, in that the crown and pushers on the left side of the watch allow for an ultimately convenient adjustment of local time during travels.
The crown sets the "home zone", which place and time is indicated by the windows is indicated by the windows at 12 and 6.

The local time is adjusted by setting the hour hand in steps of one hour, simply by pressing the "+" or "-" button. As the names indicate, the hour hand can be uncoupled from the gear train and allows for backward adjustment!
A security mechanism avoids damages from accidental pushing both buttons, while ensuring unintended change of the local time is avoided.
All together, it´s certainly a very practical and very legible piece which will come handy for all who enjoy a great travel watch.

Another look at the case; the left side includes the correction pushers. The lugs are curved, which accounts for the very comfortable feeling on the wrist.

One might note the case sports a brushed finish, while the bezel is polished.
This way, small dents and nicks almost unavoidable for frequent travellers can be touched up likewise easily, which might proof to be a real long-term benefit particularly when frequently using the watch in it´s intended environment.

The new "2Timezones" is powered by a JeanRichard manufacture-made movement based on caliber JR1000 with a propietory module that allows for the GMT functionality.
The movement did proof in several JeanRichard models already and thus is promising to be an accurate and particularly sturdy timekeeper, which certainly is much appropiate for a watch that might see some more rough use at times.

Finally, another comparison view of the different dial colours and finish:

Hope you enjoyed the additional impressions and the (first time seen) silver variant.
It´s certainly a watch well worth considering for frequent travellers!

Greetings from Germany,

Peter
