Do you happen to know the exact color name of that strap? I'd like to get one for my Chronomètre Souverain.

Sold it 1 yr later. It's a pheen-om now... But while I still admire it.. I recognize 'hype' as a mature-er collector... Enjoy.

Journe introduced this piece as an entry level watch. It was the lowest level entry Journe... check your history... 5-8 yrs ago a serious J collector would try to bypass this watch or else be regarded as a novice type J collector-- it was sub Journe almos... 

It’s only hype for people who fall into the hype trap. Owned this piece before the hype and enjoy it regardless. Wouldn’t sell it because it’s more popular and sells for 40K. Not sure who you hang out with, but as a member of the Journe Society I’ve never...

It is indeed “entry level’ but they do have a problem with this watch They put the most difficult to make and most expensive dial in it. And this is why they only make 50 of these this year and about 100 in previous years The dial is black polished by han... 

Since the original intention was to bring in cash flow for the manufacture and its dealers during the financial crisis of 2008. FP didn’t want to simply lower the price of the existing references - which most manufactures did - so he came out with this. ...

but it’s definitely not “simple”. It’s his most difficult piece to manufacture. And as for “fake shortage”, I wouldn’t call an 8 year waiting list and a production of 100 pieces per year a fake shortage.

There's no reason he can't make more... hype is critical. Hype is absolutely necessary for a brand. Shrug.

It may come across as a harsh comment, but you've been pretty harsh in your "hype" view. Perhaps it's you who needs to check recent "history" to understand why there is a REAL limit to the number the company can physically produce in 2019. It's not the co...

It looks like a hype, but I think over time many watches of the Journe will become a hype. It just takes time.
