The order...

We started with the 23 - clean, crisp and perfect to drink by itself - almost a sake aperitif.
Then the Katsuyama Ken, with the Thai meal. It held its own amongst the spice with the robust flavors and has great flavor, while still being clean (inspite of being labeled a Ginjo).
Finished it off with the Akatsuki, which really came into its own, even though we were pretty inebriated by this point. Still shone and took us home through the night of poker.
All in all a great night, and couldn’t think of a more fun drink!

The key is to take it slow in the first 30 minutes . It’s usually the speed of the first 30 minutes that gets most people.

Just learnt the hard way... from experience Spent many a night wondering how things went downhill so fast! Since I am allergic to grape, I don’t have the liberty of drinking wine - that’s how I got started on sake!
