Savory bread pudding anyone?
What else can one do with a day-old baguette? Chop up the bread, intersperse with mushrooms, herbs, chunks of left-over cheese, and flood with 8 eggs and milk to fill the dish. A few bits of pepper and broccoli for color ... The cheesy smell is killing us...

about 1 hour, medium-high heat 375-400 F
Maybe you will have to cover it part of the time so it won't get too dark on the top - that depends on your oven. And you can sprinkle some queso on top at the end just in time to melt over everything.
