The cast iron is quite good for cooking the crust as it retains heat. You have to make the lemon curd outside of the skillet and add it. I did learn you really need to put it I. The freezer and cool down the skillet before you add the meringue.
And then I recommend putting it under the broiler to finish it off, as again the cast iron retains too much heat if you bake it off.
