A couple of bottles tried on a family cruise (I brought them with me—the bottles, that is).

The Vogue was very nice. Pure and elegant but in no way dilute or too subtle. Still young, surprisingly, with just a few hints of secondary characteristics showing. Excellent balance. A lovely Chambolle-Musigny.

The Liger-Belair was young but not shut down at all. Classic Vosne fruit, some earthiness and decent length. Slightly less well-balanced than the Vogue but that should resolve with age. Really enjoyed the bottle. Thibault Liger-Belair makes some very elegant wines in my limited experience with this Domaine, and this one was no exception.

The Vogue is always such a balanced nuanced wine, like steel in a velvet glove----you make me want to open my few remaining bottles of this fine vosne is from one of my favourite regions, albeit a trifle young--great stuff. Glad you enjoyed the wines

I knew it was infanticide with the Vosne. It was more of a trial bottle. Really nice, and it passed the test.

I only have a few more of the Vogues. I’ll have to wait on them, assuming I can exhibit sufficient will power. Cheers, John

Even more enjoyable to drink Burgundy wines in Bourgogne, I’m sure...

Hopefully I will do so one day...

Ahh...Pommard, very nice commune known for long-lived, robust burgundies. I wish I could go....much envy here 😀

Not a holiday trip for young children, however...a few more years and I will go visit Burgundy. One of my must-dos.
