Yes, fresh grind fresh grind. It is so different.

But I've got to say: I find it more forgiving than you describe here. The V60 has struck me as much more finicky.

I like the cards describing the notes for each of the coffee you drank today. It tells a story and brings about more appreciation to the different beans/regions. I miss Singapore, and have not come back for 2 years. I will be back as soon as the virus sea... 

I have a whole drawer of coffee devices - chemex metal and paper filter, stove-top espresso, french presses (glass and ceramic), and I've landed on pour over and specifically the single cup Blue Bottle pour over. Of all the single cup pour overs out there...

The wide size and flat bottom filters of the Blue bottle device make it more forgiving but maybe it's time to go back to a cone filter... Thanks for the inspiration! I have clearly gotten lazy with my coffee game.

For home use I have a Pavoni europiccola. Not easy to handle. For the coffee I often use what I found on my trips. For example from Malawi or PNG.
