It can be seen in the press pictures too and is part of the design. There is no dial as such (apart form the subdials) as it is engraved straight on the main plate. Cheers Andrew

Lots of โcreativityโ around the watch world, but I think when you get in to the ideas of F.P. Journe there is always a sense of purpose - a question and then an answer!
This is exactly what we see from FPJ and the other independents... creativity with substance... they are not just done for the looks but for a reason. OK... sometimes I wish I understood the reasons but my technical mind does not stretch that far! Cheers ...
Also the lack (or no need) of overdecoration of the movements (while still spectacularly well done) contributes to this feeling of mine. I respect that approach a lot. All the best! Alex
I tried once... after 3 screws I managed to even get it in the hole... the other 2 disappeared onto the next workbench with a 'ping'! I wouldnt class him above, but certainly next to many peers from Roger Smith, Kari V, Vianney, Gronefelds etc, etc... Che...
