and what better than to post a picture of the beautiful new Tourbillon Souveraine Vertical. I was lucky enough to get to see this during the release at SIHH week and as you can imagine now features high on my wish list At 42mm this really is a perfect siz...
It sure is a spectaculair FPJ .
Hope to see it in person one day and it would be great if i can compare it with the other tourbillon then
I am happy to see the forum back too. Unless I am mistaken, I am pretty sure that is just a prototype and not the final watch?
I doubt the dial would have that kind of flaw and final finishing. Am I incorrect? Lucky dog you getting to try that one on and see in the flesh.
Its not a flaw and picks up more in the photos than in real life...
It can be seen in the press pictures too and is part of the design. There is no dial as such (apart form the subdials) as it is engraved straight on the main plate. Cheers Andrew

Lots of “creativity” around the watch world, but I think when you get in to the ideas of F.P. Journe there is always a sense of purpose - a question and then an answer!

This is exactly what we see from FPJ and the other independents... creativity with substance... they are not just done for the looks but for a reason. OK... sometimes I wish I understood the reasons but my technical mind does not stretch that far! Cheers ...

I tried once... after 3 screws I managed to even get it in the hole... the other 2 disappeared onto the next workbench with a 'ping'! I wouldnt class him above, but certainly next to many peers from Roger Smith, Kari V, Vianney, Gronefelds etc, etc... Che...
