Tis the season; the crooked Christmas Tree 🎄

Dec 09, 2021,02:42 AM

I can’t recall who here christened the Vagabondage II “the crooked Christmas Tree” but it’s apt and I never fail to think of that nickname every time I wear this watch. (I can search the archives to find out who it was).

Lots to love about this watch but one thing that attracted me initially, outside the obvious main attraction which is display of time (jump hours, minutes), was the fact that there is no name on the dial.  At the time, and up until somewhat recently, even for many fans of Journe and people familiar with the brand this was not a watch which was recognised.

For many years I wore this watch to GTGs and other watch events and it was under the radar, even sometimes at Journe events.  It was (is) a good conversation piece which is a great crutch in breaking the ice and meeting new people. (Alcohol would be cheaper of course!).

Definitely something different. This was a big attraction of the Vagabondage series.
