With some ups and downs on my CTS adventure this week, the only thing which is certain is that it’s still on wrist !!!
Two food stops with the CTS today.
The first is my go-to recommendation for everyone traveling to Tokyo. The Depachika or department store food halls / basements are a fantastically easy option with a variety of prepared food choices that is not surpassed anywhere else in the world. Plus, all the department stores have roof decks where you can bring that food and eat.
Today’s choice was some oshizushi (pressed sushi), which is a regional variation (Kansai/Osaka).
Then, a wagashi stop. Traditional Japanese sweets with a tea pairing.
The one on the right is a dried date with fermented butter and roasted walnut. It was really good.
