I purchased my Omegas as job specific so my travel solution was the GMTPO…the 15000 gauss was actually part of the decision equation…but alls well that ends well…glad it’s ticking away😎😉 ...
I can understand your frustration. For a travel watch (Especially long trips) better to go simple and sturdy

For me, where I was, the Rolex would have been perfectly fine. In fact, I am thinking I may take an everrose next time as it’s one of the few places there are no worries.
