ALS increased in 2020 pandemic and got a huge response too but then what, live goes on.
Maybe this is a trend like AP recently changed theirs to not show the retail on US websites so they don’t have to keep updating.

And there are watches enough with fair prices. PP was always very expensive, so nothing change that.
I have no relation with the brand, but frankly I'm only surprised this hasn't come earlier for FPJ, given their consistently strong results of the last few years, and the "first-tier" status they now unarguably enjoy among collectors.
Sure, for instance incremental adjustments might have been (visually) more attractive, but all in all, I believe this move was very much to be expected ;-) Cheers.
