It’s funny to look back at this. The only person banging the Centigraphe drum publicly at that time was The Journe Guy. It’s always the watch I associate with him because of that.
For me the sapphire dials of the Sport version, or at that point the Anniversary / Tokyo version, were that small change which made the watch more appealing for me. Just a personal preference.

Super nice guy too. Fun fact; my first experience hands on with Journe’s Line Sport was his watch. And that changed it all, once you held one of those in your hand it all made sense. That was the impetus for me eventually buying a CTS.

In fact, I think this may be the *only* Journe I think is at its best in gold!
That really is a stunning looking F.P. Journe Centigraphe Souverain.
I have no idea if it is more instrumental than dressy but I do know it is beautiful and I could look at it for ages and still have no clue how to read the chronograph or I could look at the movement and not care. Marc
